Psychology/Personality/Sexuality, & The Human mind is so, so complex.

As I was reading my daily blog email I stumbled upon a blog that really caught my attention. One that I took a few notes on and would like to share what I have learned from reading this blog. My subject pretty much sums it up. I am also interested in learning more how psychology plays such a big role in the human mind. I would like to learn more how a persons personality reflects their sexuality. I find this stuff very interesting.

We all know that love is a powerful drug its actually comparable to being addicted to crack cocaine literally. It releases a feel good chemical in your brain or a “high” that leaves you with an enhanced mood, a heightened sexual interest and a boost of self confidence. not to mention impaired judgement that can influence you to make poor decisions in the dark of the night that you can come to regret in the light of day or also know as the morning after.
On causal sex hookups or one night stands the morning after 80% of men have positive thoughts and only 54% women have positive thoughts.

poor mental state and causal sex do reinforce each other- in both men and women. those who reported serious thoughts of suicide or more depressive symptoms as teens were more likely to engage in causal sex as young adults, conducted by researches from Ohio State and published in the Journal of Sex Research.

There is a “Hookup” Gene, in studying human sexual behavior, a persons DNA may be to blame when it comes to infidelity and sexual promiscuity. 181 young adults surveyed on their sexual history and tested for a gene called DRD4, which affects levels of dopa-mine in the brain and has been accossicated with ADHD, alcoholism, as well as compulsive, risk taking behaviors such as partying and gambling. 49 of these young adults were found positive with this gene.

Your lips can touch mine. Again and again. Your arms can envelop me as we lie next to each other in bed. Your breath can caress my skin. Your fingertips can move through my hair. You can say my name; you can call me sweet things. I will touch your lips with mine. I will let you embrace me tightly, as we fall into deep sleep. I will listen to your breathing. I will smile as your breath tickles me. I will hold my breath as your fingers touch my hair. I will hold my breath when you look into my eyes.

But I will not sleep with you.

Because you can never give me what I want, and what I need. I need to feel something real. I want to know what if feels like to not be dead inside. I want to feel alive. I don’t…

You Cannot Wear ‘I Love You’ As An Apology

Captured WriterCaptured Writer

You cannot wear ‘I Love You’ as an apology.

You cannot hollow out a person like termites hollow out a log and then stroke the surface gently and tell him he is beautiful.

You cannot leave someone alone in the desert, experiencing a drought, and drop I Love You’s into his starving mouth as a false Oasis.

You cannot offer your love as a safe harbor of light to a ship that is unaware of the rocks on your shore.

You cannot take trust freely given to you and run straight to the bank, planning to store it away in your vault and keep it to yourself forever without ever giving it back.

What you can do is wrap your love gently around a person who is aching from the cold of isolation as if it is a soft down blanket. You can answer the statement “I just…
